NJM Packaging has acquired Montreal-based automated production equipment manufacturer The Company of Jalbert Automation. The Company focuses on solutions designed for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and chemical industries. NJM Packaging is a founding member of PMMI, joining in 1933.

PMMI member Pro Mach Inc. announced it has been acquired by The Jordan Company, a leading middle-market private equity firm. Financial aspects of the acquisition, completed last week, were not disclosed.

Ryt-way Acquires Robert’s Packaging

Contract packager and equipment manufacturer Ryt-way Industries has acquired PMMI member Robert’s Packaging. The company also acquired Cloud Packaging Solutions in June of this year. Robert’s Packaging, Inc., joined PMMI in 1998 and Cloud Packaging Solutions joined PMMI in 1996.

Pack West founder William Ellison will remain with the company through the ownership transition and will retire once the transition is complete. Pack West Machinery joined PMMI in 1991. Hartness Parent Acquires Partner

Illinois Tool Works, parent company of Hartness International, has acquired Vertique, a partner of Hartness International specializing in mixed case picking and paletizing. Vertique will now operate under the name Hartness Vertique Warehouse Automation. Hartness International joined PMMI in 1984.

Palligistics Acquires AIDCO Technology

Palligistics has acquired AIDCO International, Inc.’s, palletizing and depalletizing material handling technologies. Palligistics will continue to manufacture and support AIDCO brand equipment. AIDCO joined PMMI in 1996.
