PMMI, owner and producer of PACK EXPO trade shows, announced today the latest addition to its management team: Andrew Dougherty, Director of Membership.

“PMMI is constantly working on evolving and growing with an industry that never stops doing just that,” said Chuck Yuska, PMMI president and CEO. “It is critical that we always look at the benefits and programs that we provide for our members. Andrew is experienced in the industry association sector, specifically in the membership arena, and we will look to him to assess the needs of our membership, identifying programs and services to maintain a proper mix of offerings.”

Dougherty joins PMMI with not only membership experience, but also with a background in exposition management and meeting planning. Most recently, he led the membership efforts at the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association, a construction materials association made up of producers and equipment manufacturers, for eight years. Prior to that, he worked on the CONEXPO-CON/AGG and World of Asphalt trade shows as the Director of Expositions for the International Concrete & Aggregates Group.

“I am excited to be working at PMMI — an organization that is so highly respected within the association community”, said Dougherty. “I had the opportunity to meet the PMMI Board of Directors and a number of PMMI members at the Executive Leadership Conference. Everyone was very friendly and supportive and I look forward to working closely with all of the members of PMMI.”

Dougherty hits the ground running as PMMI prepares for their members’ Annual Meeting this September in Spokane, Wash., closely followed by PACK EXPO International, in Chicago, October 28–31.

Dougherty is a graduate of Frostburg State University and resides, with his family, in north-central Maryland.
